How to set up Thumbnail image sizes in AlohaShop

There are basically three ways you can set up your thumbnail image sizes in AlohaShop. To modify this setting, log in to your admin and go to the Catalog Setup page.

Method #1) Set a specific width and height and make sure your images fit that aspect ratio. I used to always use 100x100 square images because it was easy for me to add a little to the left and right or top and bottom of my images to make them square. But, it was one extra step that I would ultimately rather not have had to do.

Method #2) Leave the thumbnail image width and height blank. This will make it so the system does not resize the images for thumbnails at all. If you want ultimate control over the size of each of your thumbnail and product images, then this option may work for you. But it is extra work because you will have to manually create a thumbnail image for each product.

Method #3) Enter a maximum size for the height OR width. This will keep the image's aspect ratio (i.e. it won't distort the image) but it won't allow it to show larger than the width or height you set. This is, in my opinion, the best option because you don't have to resize your images at all. But, one small drawback is the thumbnails won't all be the exact same size, so you may lose that uniform look.
